For this project we have to use a variety of ICT's to create four consecutive lessons within a webquest. In addition it has to be based on a social constructivism task.
Statement of ICT used:
We chose a variety of ICT's because we believe that students should learn to use a variety of different ICT's because if we used the same resources everytime the lessons wouldn't engage students. We think that our lessons are very stimulating and engaging because they are authentic and based around the students interests. We have planned to intergrate the use of ICT's throughout our four lessons by using fun and stimulating activities. Over the four lessons, we used the following ICT's:
- Word
- Inspiration
- Powerpoint
- Word puzzle finder
- Publisher
- Brain Pop
- National Geographic
- Learning Federation
How it is centred around social constructivism:
Our lessons were all desgined based on a social constructivst class. The lessons are all collaborative as we have designed the lessons to be in pairs or small groups. For example, over the four lessons there was a variety of individual, paired and group work. Some of the activities in the lessons involve problem solving and team decision making for example, in lesson two, students had to collaboratively decide what items they would take with them to their choosen planet.
